Dominican Republic – 2023-31


The Dominican Republic is known for biodiversity as it has beaches, rainforests, savannah and highlands. With unique history, the culture of the Dominican Republic blends European, African and Taino elements to create a warm, hospitable environment with rich traditions and customs. With only 26% of the country being professed evangelical Christians, the ground is ready for seeds to be planted and watered to bring about growth of the Kingdom and support the local churches.

Short-term trips categorized at this level have either a medium level of strenuous activity levels, mid-level advanced ministry or location requirements, or all of the above. Participants must be willing to share the gospel and their testimony to others, be physically able to walk for extended periods of time, over even and uneven surfaces with some steps, inclines and unpaved terrain. Participants must be willing to commit to attending 100 percent of scheduled trainings on culture and ministry tactics.
