Countries in East Africa have diverse landscapes that encompass snow-capped mountains and large lakes, and contain diverse wildlife ranging from chimpanzees to rare birds and everything in between. The main languages in East Africa are English and Swahili, and the religious demographic is split between indigenous religions, Islam and Christianity.
Short-term trips categorized at this level have an advanced amount of strenuous activity, advanced ministry demands, location requirements, or all of the above. Participants must be willing to share the Gospel and their testimony to others, be physically able to walk for extended periods of time at great distances on uneven surfaces and/or mountain terrain, and be willing to commit to attending 100 percent of scheduled trainings on culture and ministry tactics. These trips have mandatory training that must be completed by all participants who are on the final team roster.
