The Xiangcheng are not recognized as an independent minority by the Chinese government. They see themselves as Tibetan, Naxi and Subi people descendants. The area in which they live has been virtually untouched for centuries.
The Xiangcheng are known for their beautiful houses with white rocks on roofs and colorful decorations around the window frames. They are one of the most untouched people groups in China without even Gospel literature or recordings in their language.
