Malawi – 2021-09
Malawi is a small East African country bordered by Zambia, Tanzania, and Mozambique, and is home to more than 18 million residents. Malawi is among the world’s least-developed countries and the government depends heavily on outside aid to survive. While the largest religion is Christianity, 12 percent of its population is unreached with no active church planting movement.
Short-term trips categorized at this level have either a medium level of strenuous activity levels, mid-level advanced ministry or location requirements, or all of the above. Participants must be willing to share the gospel and their testimony to others, be physically able to walk for extended periods of time, over even and uneven surfaces with some steps, inclines and unpaved terrain. Participants must be willing to commit to attending 100 percent of scheduled trainings on culture and ministry tactics.
