Our Work

The global impact of Prestonwood is felt around the world in locations on five continents. It is our goal to be the “hand of Christ” alongside bodies of work by missionaries and mission organizations in strategic, targeted areas of the world.

For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea. —Habakkuk 2:14

GLOBAL INITIATIVES

EAST ASIA

East Asia represents one-fourth of the world’s population and is home to four of the world’s 10 most populated cities. Among the East Asian people are 213 unreached and unengaged people groups who have yet to hear the Good News of Jesus Christ.

EAST AFRICA

East Africa is rich in history and culture and is known for the beauty and majesty of its surroundings. This area is made up of nearly 550 million people with less than 20 percent of the population identifying themselves as evangelical Christian.

EUROPE & RUSSIA

Europe and Russia’s population is represented by less than 3 percent who identify themselves as evangelical Christian. Behind the gorgeous cities and countryside are large pockets of unreached Muslim and Hindu people groups, as well as tens of thousands of refugees from the Middle East and North Africa, searching for refuge and a better life.

LATIN AMERICA & THE CARIBBEAN

Latin America and the Caribbean are represented by 28 countries and nearly 90 million people. Spiritual confusion, poverty and oppressive societies have long kept the Gospel from advancing throughout Latin America and the Caribbean.

NORTH AFRICA & THE MIDDLE EAST

North Africa and the Middle East are home to approximately six percent of the world’s population, 60 percent of the world’s oil reserves, and 45 percent of the world’s gas reserves. The population in the region is predominately Muslim, and the majority of its people groups are unreached and unengaged, with very little to no church-planting strategies in place.

SOUTH AMERICA

South America is known for its beautiful countryside and rainforests, and is home to many of the world’s most desirable natural landmarks. South America is also home to 425 million people, with only 17 percent of the population identifying itself as evangelical Christian.

SOUTH ASIA

South Asia is home to enormous populations of predominantly Hindu and Muslim people groups, nearly all of which are unreached and unengaged. Twenty-three percent of the world’s population lives in South Asia, while 54 percent of the world’s unreached people call South Asia home.

US & CANADA

The United States and Canada are known worldwide for being superpowers and home to many of the world’s most prestigious industries and useful inventions. Today’s postmodern culture has led to great spiritual decay; less than 30 percent of the population identifies itself as evangelical Christian.
